Larsen & Toubro’s Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) company has recently secured new orders in India and abroad to build substations and transmission lines, which are essential parts of the massive, interconnected electricity network.

In the filing, the company shared that in India, PT&D got orders to build two 765kV Double Circuit Transmission Line packages that would transport power from the Jaisalmer/Barmer Renewable Energy Zone in Rajasthan to Madhya Pradesh substations for further interconnections.

The filing further reads, “In its pursuit of providing sustainable and efficient power supply, Saudi Arabia is strengthening the 380kV network in the central region. PT&D has secured orders to build a 380kV Substation and 380kV Overhead line segments.

In the United Arab Emirates, PT&D has secured orders to construct a 220kV Substation and three 132kV Substations. Adding these substations to the network will help the utilities keep pace with the increasing electricity demand in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.”

As of 10:11 am, Larsen and Toubro shares were trading 2.12 % higher at Rs 3,757.90.
