Rising Indian shooter Ramita Jindal is set to compete in the final of the Women’s 10m Air Rifle event at the Paris Olympics on July 29 at 1:00 PM. The 20-year-old has captured the nation’s attention, especially after finishing fifth in the qualification round with a score of 631.5, securing her spot in the final.
Ramita’s performance follows the success of fellow Indian shooter Manu Bhaker, who recently opened India’s medal tally with a bronze in the Women’s 10m Air Pistol event. Ramita, along with Bhaker, is one of the few Indian female athletes to make it to the finals of a shooting event at these Games.
In the qualification round, Ramita showcased her skill and composure, standing out among the competitors. Unfortunately, her teammate Elavenil Valarivan narrowly missed qualifying for the final, finishing in 10th place.
The final will be streamed live on the Jio Cinema app under the shooting category, providing fans with an opportunity to watch Ramita’s pursuit of a medal. As she prepares for the final, Ramita carries the hopes of millions of Indians, aiming to add to the country’s medal tally at the Paris Olympics.
