The highly anticipated EX90 electric SUV, which will serve as the company’s new flagship EV, is now being produced by Volvo Cars. Additionally, the Swedish luxury automobile manufacturer disclosed that the new EV would start to be delivered to customers in the second half of this year. Additionally, Volvo asserted that the EX90 marks a paradigm jump for the company since it is the first OEM model driven by core computing technology, improving safety, while also expanding the brand’s offering of electric vehicles.
The first-ever EX90 production model has rolled off the Volvo Cars’ Charleston production line, the carmaker said in a press statement.
As per AutoHT, the Volvo EX90 has the automaker’s current design language, which is also visible in other models. Built on the brand’s next-generation, born-electric EV technology, the Volvo EX90 electric SUV has a range of up to 600 kilometres on a single charge. Volvo boasts that the EX90 is the automaker’s safest car to date. It is believed to include next-generation active and passive safety technologies, as well as software based on many different sensors.
The company also noted that this family-friendly seven-seater SUV has a powerful core system, is always linked and can be upgraded over time with software upgrades. These updates are provided by the company’s software developers, powered by AI and informed by real-time data collecting.
