BCCI have named the Indian squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 today i.e. April 30. The tournament is set to begin on June 1 in the United States of America and West Indies. Board of control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have named a strong squad as per fans.
Wicket-keeper batters Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson, both are included in the Indian squad for this prestigious tournament. Sanju Samson who is in exceptional form recently is set to wear the blue jersey which he deserves. Rishabh Pant who was not the part of the team for the last two years due to his car accident has also made it to the squad.
However the question now remains who will be the starter among these two wicket-keeper batters? Sanju Samson and Rishabh Pant are exceptional batters who can change the game with their performance. Despite the talent, only one could play in the XI.
As Rishabh Pant have played last T20 World Cup in 2022 and have a good experience of playing in such huge tournaments, so he is more likely to make it to the XI rather than Sanju. But India could still look to incorporate both of them in the same team by giving Sanju a complete batting role.
