We are finally getting closer to Netflix’s adaption of Narnia, as the news are in that the camera are expected to begin rolling in 2024. Now, the reports have suggested that the first movie is scheduled to go on floors in August of this year in the UK.

The streaming giant first announced the movie by teaming up with the CS Lewis Company in October 2018. Since then, beyond an architect, things have been awfully quiet about how the things might be in the future.

You may recall that the reports had also suggested that Netflix was in talks to get onboard Greta Gerwig for Narnia movie in November 2022. Post that, throughout the 2023, the reports came closer to reality as Greta confirmed being associated with the movie. Over numerous events, she also spoke about the challenges she has been facing in adapting such iconic books.

“I’m slightly in place of terror because I really do have such reverence for Narnia. I loved Narnia so much as a child. As an adult, I see Lewis as a thinker and writer. I’m intimidates by doing,” she stated while speaking to BBC Radia 4 in the UK, talking about the challenges.

She also added that being an American also puts pressure on her of performing better, since Narnia is British born.
