CBS has confirmed that The Equalizer will be returning for season 5, the show with stars Queen Latifah, as the middle of season 4. Following the Hollywood strikes in 2023 the current season premiered in February and is expected to wrap up on May 19. The show is expected to air as a part of the network’s 2024-2025 season.
As per the reports by deadline, the upcoming season will have 18 episodes, which is similar to season 2 and 3.
The president of CBS Entertainment, Amy Reisenbach, while confirming the renewal of the show said, “The Equalizer, led by the incomparable Queen Latifah, has all the best elements of a powerful drama.” She added that the series is stacked with suspense, heroism, high stakes, and formidable characters that the audience roots for.

CBS has so far reached the decision on all of its shows except for one, NCIS: Hawai’i. the most recent renewals on the network includes Elsbeth, which will return for season 2 and S.W.A.T, which was supposed to end but in a surprise move, was renewed for season 8.
