Actress Kangana Ranaut faced a lot of repercussions after her reply to Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut‘s tweet in which she compared Mumbai city to PoK. As a reply to Kangana’s analogy, MLA Pratap Sarnaik threatened actress by stating that her legs would be broken and she would get beaten if she enters Mumbai. National Commission for Women has taken the cognizance of the same and has advised to arrest MLA for intimidating actress by such malicious statements. Speaking to ANI, Chairperson of NCW Rekha Sharma said, ” I got information from ANI that Shiv Sena MLA Pratap Sarnaik threatened Kangana Ranaut and said the actress’s legs will be broken and she will be beaten if she enters Mumbai. These are highly objectionable statements. I am going to take suo motu cognizance and will write to the DGP of Maharashtra to take action and arrest this man. ”

Rekha Sharma added ,”In none of the Kangana’s tweet it appeared that she was a traitor and threatened any person. This reveals ideology of Shiv Sena leaders that if women are talking about freedom they cannot tolerate them.” NCW is seen taking serious action and has already written to DGP S K Jaiswal. Kangana earlier on the same day had answered such threats following which the #indiawithkanganaranaut was trending on Twitter where her fans were seen supporting her and criticizing various threats by political leaders.
