Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif are one of the buzzed on-screen couple in the Bollywood industry. They were last seen in the film Tiger 3. Directed by Maneesh Sharma, the film featured Katrina, Salman and Emraan Hashmi in the lead. The first instalment of the Tiger franchise was released in the year 2012, which was Ek Tha Tiger.
Ek Tha Tiger is the first movie of the YRF Spy Universe. The film garnered immense attention from the viewers. Salman was highly appreciated for his role as Avinash Singh Rathore. While Katrina charmed her way through the audience by performing as Zoya.
A recent podcast of Mashable by Mukesh Chhabra featured filmmaker Kabir Khan. During one of the conversations, Kabir Khan revealed that he had reservations while casting Katrina in Ek Tha Tiger. It was during that time when Salman and Katrina broke up in 2009. They weren’t quite comfortable with each other.
Though, Katrina and Salman have remained good friends to date, at that time their situation was complicated. It was also rumoured that the ex-couple had numerous fights on the sets of Ek Tha Tiger.
There was one such incident wherein Salman felt that an outfit was not appropriate for the shoot as there were multiple dancers involved. This led to Katrina walking off from the sets. Despite their bitter-sweet past, Salman and Katrina remain good friends so far.
