Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aaryan Khan, has spoken out about making his directorial debut with the online series Stardom. In one of his latest interviews, Aryan discussed his experience as a director and how it was different from his previous work as a fashion creative and entrepreneur.

Aryan told GQ India, “They’re both creatively stimulating in different ways. As the creative director of the brand, I shoot the ads as well as oversee the photoshoots. I’m very involved creatively, but not as much when it comes to the logistics. On the other hand, as a director, I have to look into every detail, every shot and every angle.”

In 2023, Aryan not only established his clothing line, but also became the director of one of its advertisements. The ad starring Shah Rukh went viral because people were pleased to see Aryan and Shah Rukh collaborate on a project.

Aryan’s Stardom is a six-part series produced by Red Chillies Entertainment. It will be situated in the film industry and revolve around the lives of young talents aspiring to make it big in Bollywood.

According to media sources, the online series will star Mona Singh and Gautami Kapoor in major roles, with appearances by Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Karan Johar, and Bobby Deol.

It was also rumoured that Shah Rukh had brought in Lior Roz, an Israeli actor, and screenwriter, to prepare Aryan for the film.

In December 2023, Aryan finished writing on the project. He posted a picture of his screenplay on Instagram and captioned it, “Wrapped with the writing…Can’t wait to say action.”
