Bollywood’s ace actor Salman Khan is celebrating his 58th birthday today,  the 27th of December. Many celebrities from the industry have been pouring heartfelt wishes for Bhaijaan. Actors such as Neha Dhupia, Bobby Deol, Riteish Deshmukh and many others extended their wishes. Recently, Karan Johar penned down a long note for Salman.

Karan Johar took to his Instagram account and shared Salman’s still image from the film ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ (KKHH). He recalled the story of how Salman came to him asking about KKHH’s script and the actor had approved to work on it because of his sister Alvira and Karan’s father. The director also teased a hint at their upcoming collaboration after 25 years.

Johar captioned the post by writing, “25 years ago I was at a party lost and confused…. A massive movie star came upto me and asked me why I was standing by a corner … I told him I had been to several actors for a part but was politely rejected … the superstars sister is close to me so he graciously said she had spoken highly of my script and that I should meet him the next day to narrate the film to him…”

He further added how he couldn’t have ever imagined being given the mere opportunity of narrating his story. But Salman was all for it and halfway into the story, the Tiger star approved for the role. “I was perplexed and said but “ you are in the second half” you haven’t heard it? He said “ I love your father and my sister will kill me if I don’t do this movie” and that’s how Salman Khan was in KKHH.”

Karan expressed gratitude towards Salman’s sister Alvira and his father’s goodwill that Salman was obliged to take on the role and he found the perfect Aman for his film. Karan also hinted at their upcoming project saying, “Happy birthday Salman ! So much love and respect for you always …Also 25 years later we will finally have a story to tell again… not saying any more than that happy happy birthday.”

Karan Johar and Salman Khan will be collaborating after 25 for their upcoming action-thriller ‘The Bull.’ Directed by Vishnuvardhan, the film will go on floors in February 2024.
