A lawsuit has been filed against Cardi B and Offset for allegedly causing significant damage to a Los Angeles rental home. In court records, the property’s owner, who sued the rappers for carelessness and breach of contract, said that Cardi B, 31, and Offset, 32, had lived at the home for nearly two years before leaving without warning in October. The musicians were also accused by the owner of not paying utilities or rent for a while.
The house was in horrible shape when Cardi B and Offset moved out, according to court filings. According to the owner, there were numerous permanent stains and marks on the limestone tile flooring, rugs, and curtains, as well as broken furniture and holes in the walls.
The owner calculated that at least $85,000 would be needed to restore the damage. The owner claimed that despite numerous attempts to resolve the issue, Cardi B and Offset did not reply. A few weeks after Cardi declared she and Offset were no longer together, the lawsuit was made public.
The rapper known as “Bodak Yellow” declared on Instagram Live earlier this month, “I’ve been single for a minute now.”
“The last time I got on Live … I kind of wanted to tell you guys, but I didn’t know how to tell you. So, I was like, ‘I changed my mind.’”

“I ain’t never talk or touch that lady,” Offset wrote in response after Blueface accused him of infidelity.
Following each other’s unfollows on Instagram in December, Cardi and Offset gave rise to breakup rumours.
Early in December, Cardi posted a mysterious message on her Instagram Story: “You know when you just outgrow [sic] relationships.”
“I’m tired of protecting peoples [sic] feelings … I GOTTA PUT MYSELF FIRST!” Cardi’s close friends are “hopeful” that the couple will “work things out” and eventually get back together despite their breakup.
US Weekly said that they’ve experienced their fair share of ups and downs over the years but have always managed to come back to each other.
Cardi and Offset had already split up before this. The couple, who share two kids, Wave, 2, and Kulture, 5, split up for the first time in December 2018 following the internet leak of videos purporting to show Offset with other women. Two months after filing for divorce in September 2020, Cardi retracted the filing.
