Siddharth Kumar Tewary, regarded as one of the best mythological creators, is now finalising the cast for his rendition of the Hindu epic Ramayana. His creative team is working hard to locate the best performers to play the various characters.

According to a report by the Times of India, the director is looking for fresh, talented actors to play Lord Ram and Goddess Sita. As of now, Nikitin Dheer has been cast as Ravana, according to the report.

A source associated with the mythological show said, “We are taking our time to make sure that every actor is perfect for the part assigned to him/her instead of rushing into putting together the cast. Besides Nikitin as Ravana, we have roped in Arav Chowdharry to play King Dasharatha.”

Nikitin will return to television after a five-year absence. In 2019, he was last seen in the third season of Naagin. In personal news, he became a father in May 2022.

In a chat with BT while talking about his daughter Devika, the actor, who tied the knot with actress Kratika Sengar in September 2014, shared, “I led a bohemian life, wasn’t overly ambitious, and believed in investing money in travelling and learning from life. When funds dried up, I would look for work again. However, after I got married, I became more committed to my career because I had added responsibilities. Today, my daughter is my utmost priority. She is still very young, and every moment spent with her is blissful. I am enjoying this phase because I am aware that as she grows, her world will become bigger with the attention divided between family, school, and friends.”

Nikitin moved his concentration to filmmaking after his last appearance on television. He has appeared in films such as Jodha Akbar, Mission Istanbul, Dabangg 2, Chennai Express, Housefull 3, Freaky Ali, Shershaah, Sooryavanshi, Antim: The Final Truth, and Cirkus, as well as television shows such as Dwarkadheesh Bhagwan. Shree Krishna, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 5, Nagarjun—Ek Yoddha, and Ishqbaaaz are among the shows.
