As a part of major operation, NIA (National Investigation Agency) executed an intensive search operation at 20 different locations across the country. This is linked to the ongoing case of PFI(Popular Front of India).The raids were held in major states like Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu.

This is aimed to uncover the illegal and unlawful activities that were done by the group. The NIA’s coordinated search operations covered a range of locations, including Fazalpur, Shaheen Bagh, Okhla, and Chandni Chowk in Delhi; Bhopal district in Madhya Pradesh; Thane and Mumbai in Maharashtra; Tonk and Gangapur City districts in Rajasthan; and various regions in Uttar Pradesh, including Lucknow, Siddharth Nagar, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Kanpur, and Gorakhpur. Additionally, searches were carried out in Madurai, Tamil Nadu. NIA successfully recovered substances of great importance which includes various digital devices such as laptops, mobile phones, SIM cards, memory cards, pen drives, and hard disks. The discovery of incriminating documents during the operations is expected to shed light on the alleged activities of the Popular Front of India. A huge amount of Indian currency, with a face value of Rs. 8.5 lakhs, was seized in connection with the ongoing case.

The locations targeted in the raids were strategically chosen based on intelligence inputs and the agency’s efforts to trace any unlawful activities linked to the organization. As the NIA keeps looking into cases connected to the Popular Front of India, the evidence found in the nationwide searches is likely to give important information about what the organization might be doing.
