The iPhone 15 series, which has several improvements over the iPhone 14 lineup from the previous year, may be introduced on September 12. Apple is believed to replace the traditional Lightning port on the upcoming iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max with a USB Type-C port in order to comply with EU laws that take effect in 2019. The future iPhone units should benefit from faster charging rates thanks to this switch to a contemporary connector. The iPhone 15 series may allow rapid charging at up to 35W, according to a recent leak.

Unnamed business sources are cited in a 9to5Mac article that claims some iPhone 15 series models will have up to 35W charging speeds. When compared to the current models, this would be a substantial improvement. The vanilla iPhone 14 offers up to 20W fast charging, whereas the departing iPhone 14 Pro supports up to 27W.

Samsung’s Galaxy S23 Ultra delivers up to 45W of quick charging as a comparison. Google’s Pixel 7 Pro may be charged at a rate of up to 23W.

The iPhone 15 series, according to industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, would offer quicker charging via the USB Type-C connection with some company-certified cords. Apple will enhance the fast-charging capabilities of MFi (Made For iPhone) chargers for the iPhone 15 models, claims Kuo.
