While battling COVID-19, Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, who is awaiting the release of his contentious movie OMG 2, reportedly concluded its script from a hospital bed. After testing positive for the new coronavirus in April 2021, Akshay was admitted to the hospital.
Five days into the filming of his action-adventure drama Ram Setu, he received the diagnosis. For the second time in 2022, Akshay tested positive before the India Pavilion at Cannes.
According to a Bollywood Hungama report, Akshay was battling COVID-19 when the script for OMG 2 was handed to him. According to a source who spoke to the entertainment portal, “To ensure the safety of his family, he (Akshay) had silently checked himself into a hospital in Mumbai. From that room when he was in the hospital bed, AK was having the final discussions on the script via video calls. It was there that the final script of OMG2 was locked.”
The trailer for OMG 2, which also features Yami Gautam and Pankaj Tripathi, was presented by the movie’s producers last week. In the video, Pankaj, who is portraying Kanti Sharan Mudgal, a devout follower of Lord Shiva, battles the educational system in court to obtain justice for his son. Akshay portrays Lord Shiva’s messenger in the movie.
OMG 2 is the follow-up to the Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar film. Oh my God, or OMG.
OMG 2, directed by Amit Rai, has been unnoticed ever since the release of the movie’s posters and teaser. According to several accounts, the censor board halted the movie because they wanted to be extra cautious given the religious nature of the movie. But the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) recently approved the movie.
The movie is now scheduled to open in theatres on August 11.
