On July 19, the world’s largest IT company Cognizant announced that it had promoted six women to Senior Vice President roles in an effort to diversify its executive team.

“These announcements are something we should collectively celebrate,” Cognizant CEO Ravi Kumar S remarked. When it comes to hiring, developing, promoting, engaging, and retaining talent, diversity advancement must be systematic and integrated into everything we do.

Elisa de Rocca-Serra, who began working for the company in 2021, has been elevated to the position of SVP, EMEA General Counsel and Contract Lifecycle Risk Management (CLRM). By managing commercial risk over the whole client contract lifecycle, she is now tasked with enhancing operational and financial outcomes in her newly extended job. Presently serving as SVP, Global Marketing, is Thea Hayden. Hayden is the team leader of an integrated marketing and digital experience team that creates engaging content with the intention of grabbing audiences’ attention on a global scale from demand to brand. This group is responsible for thought leadership, research, social media, design and creative services, and the Cognizant brand. 2020 saw Hayden get a job at Cognizant.

Patricia (Trish) Hunter-Dennehy was appointed as the SVP, Healthcare Provider/Payor Business Unit. She is responsible for hospitals, health systems, clearinghouse businesses, and companies that provide IT services to the healthcare industry. Both the provision of healthcare and the overall management of healthcare in the US are supported by her group. As a result of the acquisition of TriZetto, Hunter-Dennehy joined Cognizant in 2015. Sailaja Josyula has been promoted and is now the SVP, Intuitive Operations & Automation (IOA) for the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector for the commercial markets in North America as well as global delivery. She also holds the position of Center Head in Hyderabad. Hyderabad is Cognizant’s second-largest delivery center, with more than 56,000 people.

On July 5, Archana Ramanakumar rejoined Cognizant in her capacity as SVP, Industry Solutions Group (ISG). After getting extensive job experience at LTI and LTI Mindtree in 2020, Ramanakumar left Cognizant. Ramanakumar not only carries on the legacy she began when she initially joined Cognizant in 1996, but she also brings to her present role a wealth of outside experience. As SVP, Partnerships & Alliances, Sandra Natardonato joined Cognizant on July 17. Natardonato spent 15 years as a senior equity analyst at Gartner before joining Cognizant, and he also spent 11 years at other professional services firms.
