As one of India’s most renowned directors approaches the completion of 25 amazing years in the business, the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) is thrilled to announce that this year’s festival will pay tribute to Karan Johar. The festival, which runs from August 11 to August 20, will honour Karan Johar with a number of activities and special screenings to highlight his extraordinary contribution to Indian cinema.

With his distinctive vision and talent for telling epic tales, Karan Johar, who made his directorial debut in 1998 with the classic movie “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai,” has mesmerised viewers. He has made a name for himself as a notable director over the years, making an enduring impression on the Indian film industry.

The purpose of IFFM is to honour Johar’s extraordinary journey, his imaginative storytelling, and his persistent love of films.

In addition to having great success as a director, Karan Johar has also contributed significantly as a producer.
