Manoj Muntashir, who authored the dialogues for the recently released film ‘Adipurush,’ has faced public backlash since the Om Raut flick entered theatres. The film sparked a big uproar across the country due to its poor language, particularly those delivered by actor Devdatta Nage, who played Lord Hanuman.

On June 16, Adipurush was released in theatres, starring Prabhas as Lord Ram, Kriti Sanon as Sita, Saif Ali Khan as the mighty demon king Ravan, Sunny Singh as Laxman, and Devdatta Nage as Lord Hanuman.

Muntashir has now delivered an unqualified apologies to the people of the country and stated that he acknowledges his error.

In the early hours of Saturday morning, Muntashir took to his official Twitter handle to issue an apology for the dialogues that he wrote for ‘Adipurush’.

“I accept people’s emotions have been hurt by Adipurush. With folded hands, I extend my unconditional apologies,” he tweeted.

He went on to mention, “May Prabhu Bajrang Bali keep us united and grant us strength to serve our sacred Sanatan and our great nation.”

Muntashir’s apology comes only days after the Allahabad High Court chastised the makers of ‘Adipurush’ for the film’s dubious language, which infuriated and outraged the public. In particular, the court issued a notice to Muntashir, requiring an explanation within a week.

The court also chastised the Censor Board, questioning why the picture was given the go-ahead in the first place.

Following the film’s release, the All India Cine Workers Association submitted letters to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Mumbai Police, requesting that a case be registered against the film’s producers.
