Following Kriti Sanon’s decision to focus on the “cheers, claps” notwithstanding backlash, her mother Geeta Sanon sent a mysterious message on Instagram. Adipurush, a dramatic rendition of the Ramayana directed by Om Raut, has been under persistent scrutiny since its debut.

Geeta wrote a doha on Instagram, “Jaki rahi bhavna jaisi prabhu murat dekhi tin taisi.” She went on to explain it in Hindi stating, “The meaning of this is if you look at a particular thing with a good mindset and perspective, the world will look at it beautifully. Lord Ram taught people to look at the love in ber fruit offered by Shabari to him rather than the fact that it is half-eaten. One shouldn’t look at a person’s mistakes but understand their emotions.”

Kriti, who played Sita in the mythical drama, took to Instagram on Monday to post videos of the audience clapping for the film. Moviegoers may be heard singing ‘Ram Siya Ram’ in one of the clips. “Focusing on the cheers and claps! Jai Siya Ram,” she wrote in the caption.

Following the ‘Adipurush’ discussion scandal, Kathmandu Mayor Balendra Shah imposed a ban on Indian films.

Within an hour of the KMC Mayor’s decision, Pokhara Mayor Dhanraj Acharya addressed letters to three movie cinemas requesting that all Indian films be halted.

Following this, the makers of Adipurush submitted a written apology to Shah and asked him to reconsider his choice.

Several people around the country, from critics to reviewers, have expressed dissatisfaction with the film’s dialogues written by Manoj Muntashir. Among them are’marega bete’, ‘bua ka bagicha hain kya’, and ‘jalegi tere baap ki’. As previously stated, the filmmakers altered certain lines in the film.

Prabhas stars as Raghav (Lord Ram), Kriti Sanon as Janaki (Sita), and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh (Ravan) in Adipurush, which was released on June 16 in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Tamil across the country.
