Shreyanka Patil, the talented all-rounder, showcased her skills by taking an impressive five-wicket haul for just two runs, dismantling an inexperienced Hong Kong side. The Indian U-23 women’s team began their campaign in the Women’s Emerging Asia Cup with a comfortable nine-wicket victory at Mong Kok in Hong Kong on Tuesday.
Shreyanka, who made a name for herself in the inaugural edition of the Women’s T20 Challenge while representing RCB, bowled her accurate off-breaks, restricting Hong Kong to a meager total of 34 runs in 14 overs. Mariko Hill, the opener, was the top scorer for Hong Kong with 14 runs off 19 balls.
India’s U-19 World Cup stars, Mannat Kashyap (2/2) and Parshavi Chopra (2/12), also contributed with the ball, claiming two wickets each.
Chasing the target, India reached the required total in just 5.2 overs, thanks to a solid unbeaten knock of 19 runs by Gongadi Trisha.

India Women 38/1 in 5.2 overs (G Trisha 19 not out).
