Showrunner for “Ahsoka,” Dave Filoni, was complimented by Kathleen Kennedy and Jon Favreau. He was joined on stage by Natasha Liu Bordizzo, who plays Sabin Wren, a Mandalorian fighter, revolutionary, and graffiti artist who debuted in “Star Wars Rebels,” and by Dawson.
When Mary Elizabeth Winstead revealed she would be portraying Hera Syndulla from Rebels, she astounded British viewers as well. In addition to Dawson, Eman Esfandi will also be seen as the “Rebels” protagonist and as Jedi Padawan Ezra Bridger. Ivanna Sakhno and Ray Stevenson from “Vikings” are some additional co-stars.
Dawson discussed her love for portraying the role with Variety during the 2022 Star Wars Celebration. Ahsoka first appeared in the 2008 animated “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” movie, which also served as the pilot for the corresponding television show.
Ahsoka was one of the few significant female Jedi in “Star Wars,” and “The Clone Wars” TV series recounted her time spent studying under Anakin. By the time the series came to an end, Ahsoka was a fan favourite.
Ashley Eckstein, who previously voiced her in the animated series “Star Wars Rebels,” made a comeback. With “The Mandalorian,” Dawson made his live-action version of the Jedi premiere in 2020. The series will release in August 2023.
