Xiaomi’s Redmi launched its Redmi Note 12 Pro and with a gap of less than a month, its competitor Realme, launched its Realme 10 Pro. The launch is not the only factor where they have crossed the paths as both the smartphones support similar network i.e. 5G.

We studied both the smartphone and gathered technical details as follow:

Body

Realme 10 Pro has dimensions of 163.7 x 74.2 x 8.1 mm that weighs 190 grams. It supports dual Nano-SIM.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro has dimensions of 163 x 76 x 8 mm with weight of 187 grams. The phone supports dual SIM (Nano-SIM) and is dust and splash resistant.

Display

Realme 10 Pro uses IPS LCD technology for display with refreshing speed of 120 Hz and brightness ranging from 600 nits to 680 nits. The display size is 6.72 inches with screen-to-body 89.8%. The resolution is 1080 x 2400 pixels.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro employs OLED technology for display with refreshing speed of 120 Hz and brightness ranging from 500 nits to 900 nits. The size is 6.67 inches with screen-to-body ratio of 86.7%. The resolution is 1080 x 2400 pixels and protection of corning gorilla glass 5.

Camera

Realme 10 Pro has two modules for main camera – 108 MP f/1.8 (wide), 2 MP f/2.4 (depth) – with features such as LED flash, HDR, and panorama. The front camera is 16 MP f/2.5 (wide) with panorama feature. The video quality for both camera is 1080 pixels @ 30 frames per second.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro has three main cameras which are 50 MP f/1.9 (wide), 8 MP f/2.2 (ultrawide), 2 MP f/2.4 (macro) with features such as dual-LED dual-tone flash, HDR and panorama. The video quality is 4K @ 30 frames per second (fps), 1080p @ 30/60/120 fps, 720p @ 960 fps. The front camera is 16 MP f/2.5 (wide) with HDR feature and video quality of 1080p @ 30/60 fps.

Memory

Realme 10 Pro has internal storage of 128 GB for 6 GB and 8 GB RAM and 256 GB for 8 GB and 12 GB RAM. It also allows expanding the storage space with use of micro SDXC chip but do not provide dedicated slot for the same.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro has internal storage of 128 GB for 6 GB and 8 GB RAM, 256 GB for 8 GB and 12 GB RAM. The phone also does not support increasing the storage space.

Battery

Realme 10 Pro has lithium polymer battery of 5000 mAh. The non-removable battery is expected to be 50% charged in 29 minutes with 33W wired charging.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro has powerful lithium polymer battery of 5000 mAh. It is expected to be 50% charged in 15 minutes and fully charged in 46 minutes with 67W wired charging.

Platform

Realme 10 Pro supports operating system Android 13. The chipset is Qualcomm SM6375 Snapdragon 695 5G and CPU of octa-core (2×2.2 GHz).

Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro has operating system of Android 12. The chipset is Mediatek MT 6877V and CPU of octa-core (2×2.6 GHz).
