A complaint has been filed against the upcoming Bollywood movie “ADIPURUSH”, which is set to be released later in the year.
The FIR was registered by Sanjay Dinanath Tiwari through Ashish Raj and Pankaj Mishra, the advocates of the Mumbai High Court, against the Producer, artists and Director Om Raut.
The complainant Sanjay Dinanath Tiwari described himself as a preacher of Sanatan Dharma, according to a report by India Today
According to the complaint, the poster shows “Maryadapurushottam Lord Shri Ram in a costume contrary to the natural spirit and nature of Ramcharitmanas mentioned in the Hindu Scripture.”
The complainant further claims that Adipurush shows all the characters of Ramayana “without Janeu”. As Janeu has a very significant role in Hindu Sanatan Dharma, which has been followed for many centuries by the followers of the Sanatan Dharma, according to the Puranas and Veds.
The complaint states that “the religious sentiments of the Hindu religion society have been hut by the filmmaker Om Raut by inappropriately displaying the character of the Hindu religious text Ramcharitmanas in the new poster of the film”.
The new poster of the upcoming film was made public on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami, a festival celebrated in the Hindu religion to mark lord Ram’s birth anniversary.
The new poster of the film showed the main cast, Prabhas and Sunny with a bow and an arrow wearing armour and dhoti, meanwhile Kriti Sanon was seen in a simple saari with her covered with a veil, Devdatta can be seen bowing down his head in front of the trio as he is playing the character of Lord Hanuman.
