U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Monday that he officially suspended two representatives. From the Tennessee Valley Authority board for trying to subcontract U.S. employment to overseas employees. And blamed his chief executive for being “ridiculously overpaid”.

“Let this serve as a warning to any federally appointed board. If you betray American workers, then you will hear two simple words: ‘You’re fired,” Donald Trump added.

Trump decided, in statements at a White House event, to oust the chief executive of the corporation, Jeff Lyash. And called for the board of the country’s largest public company to do otherwise.

Trump also mentioned he was withdrawing James Thompson and Richard Howorth from his chair. He then appointed telecommunications professional Charles W. Cook to sit on the commission.

Trump Takes Action

Tech staff, a non-profit group that supports extension of H1-B visas to eligible international employees. Also lobbied Trump to dismiss Lyash after 62 IT staff were laid off. By TVA in June when it sought to outsource further data and programming jobs.

TVA’s new report with the Securities and Exchange Commission revealed. That Lyash had earned a pro-rated base pay of $445,846 from April. When he was appointed, through the end of the fiscal year on Sept. 30,. Including a $380,000 hiring bonus and a $860,000 non-equity retention package.

In the past, Trump has protected the TVA for his attempts to shutter coal-fired power plants. It has also recently recommended that portions of the government-owned company be sold to the private sector.
