Those who went to tweet with #TwitterDown had to wait a while before seeing their tweets on the stream, as is typical of any tech outage.

Jane Manchun Wong, a well-known tipper of Twitter’s unannounced functionality, tweeted on Thursday evening that the issue has been reported throughout much of Southeast Asia.
