Actor Aditya Roy Kapur tried his best to keep a smile while shooing away a fan who grabbed his face and attempted to kiss him. He was left feeling humiliated. At a special screening of his new show The Night Manager in Mumbai, a crowd of admirers rushed to see him.
Aditya is seen in the video stepping out of his car as fans rush over to meet him and take selfies with him. One of them got up close and took a selfie with the star. He gave her a side hug as she continued to hug him. The fan then tried to hold his face and kiss him with her extended arms before Aditya finally stopped her by yelling, “Arre, arre (oh)!”
Aditya smiled as he stopped her from giving him a kiss, and held her hands smiling, asking everyone else to join him for the premiere. Comments section of the paparazzi post on Instagram that captured the interaction was flooded with comments criticising the fan.
One of user wrote, “Oh God! This kind of harassment is not right! What is wrong with people? Even I like him, but I won’t forcefully try to kiss him, that’s pure harassment!” Another one commented, “The way she is grabbing his neck… Thank god she is shorter than him.”
The Night Manager, a film version of John le Carre’s book of the same name, was directed by Sandeep Modi. Earlier in 2016, the same name was also given to a British television series. Important parts are also played by Anil Kapoor, Sobhita Dhulipala, Saswata Chatterjee, Ravi Behl, and Tillotama Shome. On February 17, Disney+ Hotstar will release The Night Manager digitally.
