The Asian Cricket Council has officially announced the official schedule for Asia Cup 2022. As noted earlier, 6 teams will be playing in the Asia Cup. While the 5 teams are Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan, the sixth team is yet to be confirmed among Hong Kong, Kuwait, Singapore, and UAE. Rohit-led team India are experiencing a successful journey in the past few months which shall also give them an upper hand for the clash in the upcoming Asia Cup.

As per the schedule, the Asia Cup is going to begin from August 27 till its Finals on 11 September. It will be power-packed as the results are being decided in less than a month.

The last time India and Pakistan squared off was in the 2021 T20 World Cup group stage, where Babar Azam-led Pakistan dominated the game by a margin of 10 wickets. India on the other hand has triumphed against Pakistan in seven of the last nine T20I encounters. Prior to defeating Bangladesh in the 2016 event final, India overcame Pakistan by five wickets in the group stage.
