BCCI released a video from India’s training session where the likes of KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, and Shreyas Iyer were seen sweating in the net session. The bowling unit comprising Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, Umran Malik, Avesh Khan, and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar was seen in action. Arshdeep Singh had a phenomenal session while sharpening his yorkers but Hardik Pandya and Yuzvendra Chahal were seen missing from the BCCI’s footage of the practice session. The duo played their last match of the IPL final against each other for Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals and since then they have been unseen in the Indian camp.

With India’s world cup plans aligned with the series, the bilateral series should be crucial for Hardik Pandya who is again in the spot for all-rounders. The all-rounder player has just won an IPL and is being considered a potential match-winner in the upcoming T20 World cup. The likes of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are expected to project their attention on the sole test match against England that will be a series decider when India is leading the test series by 2-1. There have been no official confirmation by the BCCI on duo’s availability for the first match.
