While the whole world mourns Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, Mumbai Police is still investigating the case. Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur had tweeted about Sushant’s pain and knowing his story of the people who let him down badly. As per latest update, when Mumbai Police summoned him for a statement, he replied to them via emails.

This is what Shekhar Kapur tweeted a day after Sushant’s demise.

As per a report in Mid-day,  a senior IPS officer told the daily that Shekhar was contacted on the same day when he posted the tweet. The officer added that he was asked to record a statement but Kapur replied via emails as he was out of the city. Further it was reported that Mumbai Police are considering Shekhar’s emails. The filmmaker might have to record a detailed statement once he comes back.

The senior IPS officer told the daily, “We have summoned Kapur to come and record his statement based on the tweet he shared a day after the actor’s suicide. He had sent some details via email which we are considering but we need more clarity on it. His detailed statement will be recorded soon once he comes back to the city.”

The filmmaker was supposed to shoot Paani with Sushant. However, the movie was kept on hold which left everyone in shock.

Meanwhile, statements of other celebrities are being taken. Sushant Singh Rajput’s last film co-starring Sanjana Sanghi is set to release on July 24, 2020 on Disney+Hotstar.
