Deepika Padukone was confirmed to be working on a film that covered her father’s journey and life, Prakash Padukone. Prakash Padukone was a well-renounced badminton player.
Last year Deepika produced ‘83’ that starred Ranveer Sing as Kapil Dev and was based on the World cup match of 1983. She said that she will try to add the struggles that her father faced and the journey to put Indian sports on the global map, even before India brought glory after winning the cricket World cup. He even won the World Championship in 1981.
Deepika further mentioned how her father trained with limited resources and always kept himself motivated to make the best out of every situation he was put in. If the facilities that are available now were also present in the past then he would have been more superior in his field.
