New Zealand Captain, Kane Williamson has been dealing with his persistent elbow injury for some time now. He has been having the injury for more than fifteen months now and this has also forced him to miss a lot of his international games.

Regarding his injury, the right-handed batsman said that sometimes he has had thoughts of cutting off his troublesome elbow which causes so much pain.

“Cut it off… I’ve thought about that a few times”, said Kane as per stuff.co.NZ.

This statement shows the frustration of Kane who had to miss so many international matches because of his injury. The kiwi is hoping to come back in the international games soon. But still, his return to the international will be totally dependent on the recovery speed of his elbow.

Kane also reached out to Australia’s Steve Smith and Indian former cricketer, Sachin Tendulkar to know how they had health with their elbow injuries.

The winning captain of the ICC World Test Championship also believes that he is recovering and thanked the rehabilitation programme. He has been batting in the nets every couple of days for about 20-25 minutes.

However, due to his injury, Kane will be missing the Test series against South Africa on February 17. But he is hoping to make a comeback in the white ball series against the Netherlands in March and the Indian Premier League 2022 in April.
