Prasidh Krishna’s amazing performance helped team India to win it for the team. Krishna took wickets in the initial overs, middle overs, and also in the death overs, displaying a strong overall performance.
Prasidh’s bowling performance resulted in four crucial wickets for him.
With the score of 2-0 at the end of the second ODI, India leads the three-match ODI series. Rohit was constantly on the lookout for wickets, and his aggressive captaincy throughout the game was thrilling to watch.
India’s winning streak continues as they win their 11th ODI in a row against the West Indies. The winning run began in January 2007 and is still going strong after 15 years of competition.
Team India appeared to struggle in the early overs of their batting, as allowing Rishabh Pant to open proved to be a disastrous experiment, while Virat Kohli’s poor form continued, with fans waiting for his next century since 2020. Suryakumar Yadav and KL Rahul put the hosts back in the game with a fantastic partnership, with KL Rahul falling one run short of his half-century when he was run out, and Suryakumar Yadav standing strong and scoring 64 runs, ensuring India a defensive total in the first innings. Washington Sundar and Deepak Hooda pushed hard to get bonus runs on the board, but they were both out before the 30-run mark.
West Indies’s poor batting performance has benefited India to win by a great margin and also helped them to keep the historic consecutive win alive. With Pollard unavailable in the playing XI Pooran was unable to play a captain knock and got out cheaply. Brooks put up a strong performance, but he gave up his wicket to Deepak Hooda, who took his first ODI wicket. Thakur was able to take Akeal’s wicket as he appeared to be confident in winning the game for the visitors. Odean Smith’s knock looked ominous, and the West Indies were still in the game, but he, too, fell victim to Sundar’s ball, giving up his wicket to Virat at the boundary line.
India has won another series and will play their final ODI on Friday, February 11, before heading to Kolkata for the three-match T20I series against the West Indies at the legendary Eden Gardens.
