Having a phenomenal run to the record-extending eighth final, India is now all set to clash with England at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua. India will be aiming for an unprecedented fifth title in the ICC U-19 World Cup 2022.
While India had given a tough rush to their opponents in the tournament, England has also had a dominating game towards reaching their final.
Both the teams have played against each other 49 times in U1-9 ODIs, India winning 37 and England winning 11. They have played 8 matches against each other in the U-19 World Cup, out of which India won 6 and England won 2.
India completed their group stage on an unbeaten note, winning all three matches as a part of Group B. They started their winning streak by beating South Africa by 45 runs, then beating Ireland and Uganda by 174 and 326 runs respectively, finishing the top of Group B with six points.
In the second quarterfinal, they had beaten Bangladesh by five wickets and then reached the finals after a fantastic knock from the side of Captain, Yash Dhull (110 runs) against Australia, beating them by 96 runs in the semifinals.
