Cooper Connolly-led Australian team were able to win the quarter-finals easily and now go into the Super League Semi-Finals as Australia won against Pakistan by 119 runs.

Man of the Match Teague Wyllie helped Australia to dominate the quarter-finals as the young man scored 71 runs off 97 balls.

Corey Miller assisted team Australia by scoring 64 runs which helped the team to build a good partnership with Teague Wylie.

The third quarter-finals witnessed an overall performance with the bat as well as the ball. 17 wickets were taken throughout the match as the pitch encouraged the bowlers to bag in some crucial wickets for their respective teams. Qasim Akram of Pakistan and William Salzmann of Australia bagged in 3 wickets each, being the highest wicket-taker in this match for their respective teams.

Australia scored 276 runs by losing seven wickets in the first innings, allowing team Pakistan to chase the critical target of 277. Fortunate enough for team Australia, Pakistan were bowled out within 157 runs. The solid partnership helped team Australia to win the quarter-finals while Pakistan seemed to lack a stable batting performance.

Australian captain Cooper Connolly seemed happy with the team’s overall performance and especially appreciated the stunning performance of Teague while Pakistan captain Qasim is disappointed with the team’s efforts as according to the skipper the team lacked efforts in both the departments – batting and bowling. Qasim was successful with 3 wickets but couldn’t get decent support from the other players.

Australia will now be continuing this tournament with the Super League Semi-Finals which will be played against the winner of tomorrow’s match – the fourth quarter finals between India and Bangladesh. The tournament seems to coincidentally follow the previous year’s pattern.
