Sushant Singh Rajput’s sudden death has left the whole world into grief. His death is a big loss to Bollywood. The 34-year-old actor was found dead in his Mumbai house. His death, however, has started a big conversation about mental health, and celebrities like Karan Johar and Deepika Padukone have spoken about it in their posts on social media.
The actor was reportedly under treatment for depression and after the news broke out fans and celebrities taken their social media handle to encourage people facing the same issues to at least talk to someone and not be alone.
Deepika Padukone who herself has been through a difficult phase started an organization, Live, Love, Laugh to bring the conversation about mental health issues. In her post, she wrote, ‘As a person who has had a lived experience with mental illness, I cannot stress enough about the importance of reaching out. Talk. Communicate. Express. Seek. Help. Remember, you are not alone, we are in this together and most importantly there is hope’.

Producer and director Karan Johar who also mourned on Sushant’s death posted a picture on Instagram and captioned it saying his passing has been an eye-opener and also said he felt guilty about not reaching out and talking to him when he felt he could use someone to talk to. In his note, he said, ‘We live in very energetic and noisy but still very isolated times …some of us succumb to these silences and go within…we need to not just make relationships but also constantly nurture them….Sushants unfortunate demise has been a huge wake up call to me …to my level of compassion and to my ability to foster and protect my equations…..I hope this resonates with all of you as well…’
Actor Anil Kapoor who was not in personal touch with Sushant Singh posted a note on his death and asked his followers to look out for their loved ones. Illeana D’Cruz to shared a long post saying, ‘It’s ok not to be ok.’ Vir Das, Minissha Lamba, and Shreyas Talpade to shared a note asking everyone to look out for their near and dear ones who might be going through a difficult time.
