We lost one of the our country’s finest music composer Wajid Khan on Sunday. He was infected by Covid-19. After his demise, bollywood celebrities shared their grief through their social media. Ranvir Singh, Sonu Nigam, Salim Merchant, Tulsi Kumar, Priyanka Chopra, Varun Dhawan and many other celebrities took to their social media handles to share their condolences.Wajid of the duo Sajid-Wajid was laid to rest at Versova cemetery on Monday afternoon.

Recently the news of Wajid Khan’s mother Razina has tested positive for the coronavirus came out. Razina was reportedly present at the same hospital to take care of her ailing son.Wajid had died of a cardiac arrest at a Mumbai hospital.

An ABP News report has quoted a source as saying, “Wajid’s mother Razina had already contracted coronavirus before the late musician was infected with the virus. Wajid, who was suffering from kidney and throat infection, tested positive for Covid-19 later.” The source added, “Sajid-Wajid’s mother is better now and her condition has improved. She stayed in Surana Sethia hospital to take care of her ailing son. However, she contracted Covid-19 after she came in contact with other coronavirus patients at the hospital.”

“He was buried around 1pm. Because of the lockdown and Covid issue, only 20 people were allowed for the funeral. There was police security and barricades in place. Only close family, including brother Sajid and friends from the industry were present,” close source to Wajid told PTI.

Wajid has given music for films like Wanted, Dabangg. He has sung chartbusters like ‘Dabangg’, ‘Chinta Ta Ta’, ‘Mera hi Jalwa’. He recently composed Salman Khan’s ‘Pyaar Karona’ and ‘Bhai Bhai’ for superstar’s new YouTube channel amidst nation-wide lockdown.
