A woman who is 65-year-old and had undergone both doses of vaccination, tested positive with the Delta Plus variant. She also recovered in May from COVID-19. Although government officials confirmed that the woman is fine and healthy, Delta Plus variant has left the experts worried.
Bikaner CMHO O.P. Chahar reassured that special instructions have been issued to make sure that the are in which the woman resided and near it is traced properly. He also said that everyone who tested positive for COVID-19 in the area will be tested again after a month.
The new guidelines will not let the Delta Plus variant spread throughout the state, shared Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. Rajasthan government is addressing this matter very seriously.
Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala are currently facing the deadly consequences of the spread of Delta Plus variant. 21 cases is the highest known number of patients in Maharashtra.
Rajasthan is now also named in the the list of states in the India to face the new virus strain. “The patient’s sample was sent to NIV on May 31 and after 25 days, the state government received the reports which were then sent to Bikaner district collector for further action.” shared Bikaner’s PBM Hospital Superintendent Parmendra Sirohi.
