Nushrratt Bharuccha was disturbed by the feedback she got for the Pyaar Ka Punchnama movies, as individuals felt that she was like her character in real life, and rejected her talent.
Actor Nushrratt Bharuccha has said that she was influenced by the feedback for the Pyaar Ka Punchnama movies, as everybody accepted her to be similar to her character within the movies. In Pyaar Ka Punchnama (2011), she played a controlling sweetheart, whereas in its spin-off Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 (2015), she was seen as a self-centered young lady whose closeness with her male best companion made her boyfriend awkward.
In an interview with radio have Siddharth Kannan, Nushrratt uncovered the feedback that ‘hurt’ her the foremost.
“Everything in Pyaar Ka Punchnama 1 and 2. Individuals abhorred me, that’s what it was. The truth that they really accepted I was that young lady in real life, which is why I did that part that well,” she said. According to Nushrratt, individuals were so persuaded that she was like her character within the movies that they expelled her ability. “They said, ‘Nahi, yeh talent nahi hai, yeh waisi hi hai toh iss wajah se aise role karti hai (this can be not talent, she does such parts since she is like that too).’ Indeed in real life, individuals think I am like that.
