Kangana Ranaut recently took to Twitter to take a jibe at Farhan Akhtar who had produced the Mirzapur series. This came after the main accused in the Nikita Tomar murder case confessed that the web series had been his inspiration. She said in her statement that “art has serious consequences.”
These boys had no record of crime or violence, main murderer confessed to cops that web series Mirzapur was his inspiration for killing a girl who rejected him. Dear @FarOutAkhtar hope you know art has serious consequences, you all played a major role in all these deaths. Sad. https://t.co/8Rs1vV2rPf

The brutal murder of Nikita Tomar had left the whole nation stricken. She was shot in her head by a guy whose proposal she had rejected. The accused made the statement that he had been inspired by a character in Mirzapur to commit the crime.
This is what happens when you glorify criminals, when negative and dark characters are played by good looking young men and they are shown as anti heroes not villlains then this is the result, shame on Bullywood for causing more damage than good always… https://t.co/zlnPam1a8L

In earlier Tweets, Kangana has also taken a jibe at Swara Bhaskar, Kareena Kapoor Khan and more for not speaking about the same. “All of them should be put in jail for fake and selective activism, these filmy bimbos have caused huge damage to the cause of woman empowerment, why their mouths are sealed for Nikita who has been shot dead in broad daylight by a Jihadi,” she said.
