
Mayor of the Capital city Kyiv, Vitaly Klitschko pressed an absolute curfew from 5 pm to 8 am; previously the curfew timings were 10 pm to 7 am. He warned his citizens to stay away from the streets during curfew times, as anyone found during those times will be considered a part of the Russian army and later shouldn’t blame if any mishap followed. He used the Telegram messaging app to inform his citizens.
Zelenskyy, Ukraine President on Saturday called upon the Indian Prime Minister to show support towards Ukraine at the UN Security Council. Zelenskyy in a press release on Saturday with a determination said the Ukraine forces will win.
He said his military, his national police force, national guard, special services and citizens of Ukraine to carry on and triumph is certain, ‘glory to Ukraine’.
President Zelenskyy stated that they triumphed in restricting the charging of Russian offensives. And he knows that every Ukrainian was defending the land for their future and for their children. As of now, he said that the capital city Kyiv and certain areas nearby are under Ukraine’s forces’ control. Russia wanted to plant their pawns in our country, They failed.
The Health Minister for Ukraine, Viktor Liashko revealed that close to 198 people have become martyrs and more than 900 others have been severely wounded in the Russian attack. He was sad to mention the death of 3 young children among those that lost their lives. His information did not clarify whether the casualties were military or civilians or both. Close to 1,115 people which included 33 young children were severely wounded as the Russian forces barged in. His information came in whilst the Russian forces were attacking and he continued to update the list of casualties as the fight was on, on the streets of Kyiv on Saturday. These casualties were the result of overnight shelling in the city and on-street fighting between the forces.
