Prince Philip Mountbatten, Duke of Edinburgh, Earl of Merioneth and Baron Greenwich, also called Prince Philip was born as prince of Greece and Denmark. He was a descendant of King Christian IX of Denmark and King George I of Greece. In 1947, he married the “Queen of the World”, Queen Elizabeth II . Also known as Elizabeth Regina II of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. And of Her other Realms and Territories Queen, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith.
He made history as the longest serving and oldest-ever consort incumbent to a sovereign in world history. Weeks before turning 100, he died peacefully in his sleep at Windsor Castle.
Unfortunately, the COVID-19 Pandemic prevented thousands of relatives of royal bloodline. From Greece, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Spain, Belgium and many more including international organizational heads and dignitaries from attending his funeral. Moreover, on the 17th of April, 2022 the Queen was seen isolated in mourning. Drenched in black without the comfort and support from her more than 70 years of marriage husband.
The Duke of Edinburgh Memorial Service
However, with lesser COVID-19 infections across the world, The British Royal Family will host a Thanksgiving memorial service today.

The Westminster Abbey memorial service for the Duke of Edinburgh will start at 11.30am on Tuesday 29 March UK time.
