Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has dismissed suggestions that India is aiding Russia in the ongoing war, stressing that New Delhi is “mostly on our side.”

Speaking to journalists, Zelensky acknowledged differences over energy imports but said those challenges “can be managed.” He urged European nations to build stronger ties with India and cautioned against distancing themselves from New Delhi.

“Europe must build strong ties with India. We must not withdraw from the Indians,” Zelensky said, underlining India’s importance as a strategic partner for Ukraine and Europe.

The remarks come amid ongoing global debates over India’s position in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, with Kyiv now explicitly seeking deeper engagement with New Delhi.
