“Ukraine will win,” says UK PM Boris Johnson as he announces £300 mn military aid

PM Johnson hailed the Ukrainians for their fight against the Russian invasion. He further assured of supply of military & humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

On Tuesday, May 3, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson announced a £300 million military aid to Ukraine. “I have one message for you today: Ukraine will win, Ukraine will be free,” said the PM as he addressed the Ukrainian Parliament through video conferencing.

PM Johnson hailed the Ukrainians for their fight against the Russian invasion. He further assured of supply of military & humanitarian aid to Ukraine. “We will carry on supplying Ukraine… with weapons, funding and humanitarian aid, until we have achieved our long-term goal, which must be so to fortify Ukraine that no-one will ever dare to attack you again,” said Johnson to Verkhovna Rada.

UK’s military aid includes electronic warfare weapons & counter-battery radar system. The UK has been a constant support of Ukraine, PM Boris Johnson had also visited Kyiv amid the ongoing Russian invasion.

Meanwhile, the Russia-Ukraine war has entered its 69th day. The situation is worsening day by day, today Kremlin has stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin announced sanctions against Western countries. Europe is also struggling to make decisions on the import of Russian fossil fuels as it can create an energy crisis. There are no signs visible of the war ending any time soon.
