Ukraine will never be a victory for Putin: Joe Biden

US President Joe Biden made a significant move on Tuesday, banning Russian oil imports as a response to Russia’s war on Ukraine.

In a scathing assault on Russian President Vladimir Putin in the midst of the continuing Russia-Ukraine conflict, US President Joe Biden declared that Ukraine will never be a “victory” for Putin and that he will never be able to rule the entire country. “Putin may be able to take a city — but he will never be able to hold the country,” President Biden warned during his White House speech on Tuesday.

Furthermore, when Biden imposed a restriction on Russian oil imports on Tuesday, he cautioned that while Russia may continue to expand its attack at a terrible cost, it is apparent that Putin will never win.

“Putin has already turned two million Ukrainians into refugees and as Russia may continue to grind out its advance at a horrible price, this much is already clear that Ukraine will never be a victory for Putin. Putin may be able to take a city, but he’ll never be able to hold the country. Also, if we do not respond to Putin’s assault on global peace and stability today, the cost of freedom, and to the American people, will be even greater tomorrow,” Biden warned as he imposed tougher sanctions against Russia.

Meanwhile, in response to rising gas prices in the United States, he stated that easing environmental regulations will not lower prices; however, changing the economy to run on electric vehicles powered by clean energy will imply that no one will have to worry about gas prices, and tyrants like Putin will be unable to use fossil fuels as a weapon.

The President, who also described the action as a stark reminder, stated that it will push people to accelerate the transition to a sustainable energy future.
