For a long time, Ukraine has been waiting for a day like this where it has no dependency on the Russian energy supply anymore. From 2014 when Russia annexed Crimea into its territory logbook, Ukraine has been waiting for a lifeline and now that Russia has invaded its nation brutally, Kyiv expedited the request which would have otherwise taken months to approve.

Ukraine officials confirmed that the engineers have decoupled from the Russian power system and have attached Ukraine’s grid to the electrical grid that covers most of the European continent, giving Ukrainians respite from the barbaric Russian regime.

ENTSO-E, a Belgium-based company that operates several transmission system operators across Europe, stated that Ukraine’s electricity grids and its nearby regions of Moldova were perfectly enjoined with the Continental European Power System on a temporary pilot basis.

ENTSO-E happily announced, “This is a remarkable journey and a huge milestone for us.” Apparently, ENTSO-E grid operators were waiting for a directive to help Kyiv since the unexpected and unwelcoming annexation of Crimea by Russia in 2014. However, the recent brutal invasion of Russia against Ukraine prompted them to speed up the process of decoupling Ukraine from Russian power systems and put them on to European grids.

Close to 39 electrical engineers from ENTSO-E happily stated that this decision will help in maintaining a stable power supply to the entire Ukraine and the Moldovan region. These 39 engineers handle the world’s biggest complex and interconnected power grid.
