The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates has strongly condemned the recent drone attacks on Kuwait, describing them as “terrorist attacks” targeting the State of Kuwait. In an official statement, the UAE Foreign Ministry reiterated that such strikes violate Kuwait’s sovereignty and threaten its security and stability.
The UAE Foreign Ministry said it “strongly condemns the terrorist attacks on the State of Kuwait with drones,” as reported by the ministry’s own media‑hub and verified by Gulf‑region news outlets. It stressed that targeting border posts and other infrastructure through explosive‑laden drones is a breach of Kuwait’s sovereignty and a danger not only to Kuwait but also to the wider region.
UAE officials have backed Kuwait with a clear message of solidarity, stating that the UAE “stands in solidarity with the State of Kuwait and supports it in everything that would preserve its security and stability.” The ministry added that the UAE stands with Kuwait in all measures it may take to safeguard its borders, people and critical sites from further hostile attacks.
Kuwait has reported several drone‑related incidents in recent weeks, including attacks on border and military‑guard sites that caused damage but, in some cases, no reported casualties. Kuwait’s authorities have previously attributed some of these drone strikes to Iran or Iran‑linked groups, even as Tehran and its proxies have denied direct responsibility after the beginning of a US–Iran ceasefire.
The UAE has been one of the Gulf states most vocal in condemning cross‑border drone and missile attacks, while also highlighting its own experience facing repeated Iranian‑launched missiles and UAVs. By linking its solidarity with Kuwait to the broader regional security picture, the UAE has underlined the need for coordinated measures to push back against what it describes as “terrorist” use of drones against Gulf states.
