U.S. President Donald Trump issued a strong statement on Truth Social, declaring, “Time for the terrorists to hide, but it won’t do them any good,” as he outlined renewed military support and strategy. Trump announced the removal of what he called “Joe Biden’s dangerous red tape,” claiming that this move would empower U.S. warfighters in the global fight against terrorism.
He referenced past military action, notably the rapid defeat of ISIS during his tenure, and credited General Daniel Caine—recently appointed as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff—for that campaign. Trump stated that under Caine’s leadership, terrorist groups were “completely obliterated in three weeks.”
The post also included a pointed warning to the Houthis, an Iran-backed militant group designated as a terrorist organization by the U.S. government. Trump urged the Somali people not to allow the Houthis to embed within their country, warning that the U.S. will continue to target terrorist networks and work to bring prosperity to regions destabilized by extremist groups.
His comments signal a renewed tough-on-terror posture and foreshadow potential escalations in U.S. engagement against global terror networks.
