United States President Donald Trump has reportedly urged Israel to refrain from carrying out any further strikes on Qatar, Axios reported on Thursday.

According to the outlet, Trump conveyed his displeasure directly to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, calling the recent attack on Hamas officials in Doha “unacceptable.” “I demand that you do not repeat it,” Trump told Netanyahu, a source close to the matter stated.

The strike, which targeted Hamas representatives in the Qatari capital on Tuesday, sparked widespread international condemnation. Reports noted that Israel informed the United States of its plans only after the operation was already underway.

Following the incident, Trump expressed he was “very unhappy” with Israel’s decision, highlighting growing tension between Washington and Tel Aviv over the handling of the ongoing conflict.
