Trump claims Ukraine ready for peace talks, cites letter from Zelensky

Trump stated, “Earlier today, I received an important letter from President Zelensky of Ukraine. The letter reads, Ukraine is ready to come to the negotiating table as soon as possible to bring lasting peace closer. Nobody wants peace more than the Ukrainians.”

According to Trump, Zelensky emphasized Ukraine’s commitment to working under his leadership to secure a lasting peace. The letter also conveyed Ukraine’s appreciation for America’s continued support in safeguarding its sovereignty and independence. Furthermore, Ukraine expressed readiness to sign an agreement concerning minerals and security at any time deemed convenient.
