President Donald Trump has strongly condemned the deadly shooting outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C., labeling it a clear act of antisemitism and demanding urgent action to stop such violence.
“These horrible D.C. killings, based obviously on antisemitism, must end, NOW! Hatred and Radicalism have no place in the USA. Condolences to the families of the victims. So sad that such things as this can happen! God Bless You ALL!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
His remarks come hours after two Israeli embassy staff members were shot and killed outside a Jewish event near the museum. The suspect, identified as Elias Rodriguez, 30, from Chicago, is in police custody. Authorities confirmed that he had no prior contact with law enforcement and was heard chanting “Free Palestine” after the attack.
Israeli officials and U.S. leaders have called the shooting an act of anti-Semitic terrorism, with Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem also expressing federal support for the investigation.
